Back into Hell ;-)

Well. After starting the day at the beach, we've been picked up by the airport shuttle in front of Noah's backpackers. Then everything was kinda automatic....the flight back home with quantas was pretty comfortable...but I wasn't really able to enjoy it. I started missing oz as soon as I entered the plane...

But, no matter what it takes, I'm sure, I'll be back! :)

Final Countdown

Well. Not much to say. Our last day in the most beautiful city on this planet. So the agenda for that day was: enjoying! Spending some time at the beach, doing one last trip to the city...having nice dinner at darling harbour...actually kinda sad to write about it...but our last day was, what else can I say, amazing!

One love...

Blue da ba di da

After gettin' up at 6:30 (!!!) we had a quick breeky, then went to central station and took the train up north. Destination: Blue Mountains!

When we arrived, we took the shuttle bus to the Three Sisters and started there our journey through this marvellous mountain world.

We discovered the Blue Mountains for hours and hours....but, of course, weren't able to see all cool places. But anyways. A cool day out there :)

When waiting for the last shuttle bus to take us back to the train station we had some minutes left and spent them on a playground. A nice ending for a really nice day ;-)

Home sweet home

After a exhausting bus journey we arrived at about 6 am in Sydney. And when seeing the Harbour Bridge it felt like coming home :-) Pretty strange feeling though. But somehow cool =)

At 6:30 we arrived at Central Station..tired but happy :) Unfortunately we lost the number of Noah's Backpackers so that we took a bus to Bonid & checked for rooms at reception....they told us we had to wait till 10:30 (since check out was at 10). So we went to my home beach :), relaxed, enjoyed being home, had a boost juice and slept a little. Then we went back to the hostel, got a room (not thaaaat amazing, but quite ok) and went to the city afterwards.

There we had a nap at the Royal Botanic Gardens :)

After our rest we went to the city, "shopping" ;-) and finished a really cool day with dinner at Darling Harbour.

Bye bye Byron Bay

On ou last day in Byron Bay we locked our luggage in a locker somewhere in Byron Bay and had, once more, brekky by the beach. Afterwards we walked to "Australias most easterly point"...

While walking to this thought to be famous place we passed the annual "Chili Festival" and we saw the first few raindrops...but didn't matter. We went on. Of course...We then had our first break at "Wategos Beach" which was quite cool and then continued to "Julian Rocks".

After enjoying the view at the ocean we went on to see the most easterly point of the australian mainland. And then. There it was...

And right after arriving there, it started to rain...heavily. So we started walking back since there was no place to wait for the rain to stop. And the rain didn't stop. It was raining cats and dogs all the time. We walked for about 45 Minutes through the pouring rain and were completely wet when we came back to Byron Bay. Since we had to check out at the hostel earlier that day, we had no place to go and change. So we first went into a café and hat a hot chocolate. The rain then stopped for a short while but started again when we went grocery shopping. We then got our bags out of the locker and changed at an public toilet our clothes. Then we diceded to wait close to the busstop under some roofs till our bus from Premier arrives. Whil waiting we decided to have pizza, once again ;-)

BUT having pizza wasn't that easy. It was still raining cats and dogs. And when the rain stopped for a few moments Sascia went to the pizza store in order to get some while I was waiting with our belongings at the bus stop (YES, I OFFERED TO GET THE PIZZA, SHE REFUSED! REALLY! ;-) ). But then it happend...while Sascia was waiting for our food, it started to rain again. And it was not simple rain. It was pouring! Monsoonlike torrential rain came over Byron Bay. Since it did not stop after some minutes, Sascia decided to go for a run. Pizza in her hands, Water everywhere, spontanious rivers in Byron - everything the nature could offer was against her. But finally she made it. All wet, but with pizza in her hands...and it only took about 2.5 hours till she could smile again ;-) Thx Babe! You'll always be my hero :-)

The bus then arrived pretty late and we checked in and had quite a surprise when we saw our seats. They where in front of the toilets and there was less space then we were used to from Greyhound. But anyway. Of we went...back home ;-)

Byron Bay - Day II

After gettin' up not to early ;-) We walked to the beach and had breeky there. Then we just chilled a little while watching the surfers and started writing some postcards. Afterwards we took the long and partyl steeeeep way to the lighthouse. We passed by the "rainforrest walk", had to take some long and hard steps but got marvellous views and saw a fantastic sunset.

When the darkness arrived, we went back, went online to check some mails and stuff got some groceries and had a relaxed evening at the hostel..

Brissie - Byron Bay

After checking out at the hostel, we went to the city, put our bags into lockers and booked our journey from brissie to sydney with premier motor (cheaper than greyhound). After telephoning with 3 hostels we finally found one that wasn't that expensive. Then we strolled through the city and the botanic garden. once more we've been a little disappointed - knowing the botanic gardens in Sydney...

We then wrote some postcards, blog entries and once more went to coles and had dinner at subways..then we got onto our last Greyhound and travelled south towards Byron Bay.

After arriving there we've been picked up by a courtesy bus of our hostel...but the distance between greyhound drop off and hostel were only about 500 Meters...no comment ;-)

The rooms at the hostel were pretty nice, there were cool amenities and everything was very tidy.

After unpacking we took a stroll through the main street to the beach. Had a look at some of the nice shops and enjoyed the sun disappearing behind the ocean...
